ENKEWA CAMP'S REVIEWS
Incredible location; being able to sleep in the middle of the Masai Mara is priceless. We stayed at Little Enkewa; the tents are spacious and very comfortable, with everything you need and a great design. The food was EXCELLENT, and having breakfast mid-morning under an acacia tree while watching animals is an amazing experience. All the staff are friendly, and you can see at all times how hard they try to make your experience enjoyable. I would definitely return!
The best safari experience in Masai Mara, super nice rooms, spectacular food, wonderful location, super attentive staff, taking care of every detail to make your experience unforgettable, thank you Enkewa.
This is the best place to understand the Mara and explore its wildlife. 110% recommended
We stayed at Little Enkewa, an exclusive camp within Enkewa with only five tents and a prime location in the Masai reserve. Situated next to the Sand River, you can see incredible animals passing by at close range in a safe environment. The tents are incredibly spacious, comfortable, and decorated with amazing natural and local charm. It was a real treat to refresh yourself in the outdoor shower overlooking the savanna. The entire stay was exceptional, but I would especially highlight the quality of the safaris. In our case, we had an amazing driver and observer who knew the environment and animal behavior perfectly and went out of their way every day to make the most of our outings. I also want to mention the delicious and flavorful food, expertly prepared and including vegetables from their own garden. In short, I can't recommend this experience highly enough.
A fantastic week, in which we enjoyed the great facilities they have, very good food. Jose and his team are fantastic. And their guides are the best for safaris and they do everything possible to find the animals, thanks to them we saw the Big5.
Enkewa is a very special place indeed. After visiting Maasai Mara around a year ago and staying in another camp on the far western side and getting caught in the crowds, I now understand and appreciate what makes Enkewa so special. From the ethos of the game drives - avoiding the crowds yet still offering such a wealth of wildlife - to the incredible professional staff who make your stay so memorable. A huge shout out to Benson and Erenget (quite possibly the best drivers/spotters in the Mara who did their best to make sure we saw all the wildlife we hoped for and more), and Janet who always brought a smile to our meal times. The chefs are also incredible making each meal a real delight and happy to meet special dietary needs. And also Dominic, providing expert leadership and management of the camp. The security and cleaners also, doing an incredible job to keep the place super safe and clean. I rarely return to the same place when I travel but would not hesitate to return to Enkewa when I can next make it to the Mara. Thanks Enkewa team for making it so memorable.
After researching around 50–100 lodges in preparation for our second stay in the Maasai Mara, we chose Enkewa Camp mainly because of its remote location. And what can I say — from the moment we arrived, we were absolutely blown away! The location, the tents, the attention to detail, and most importantly, the staff were outstanding. It’s a true oasis that offers pure nature and tranquility, especially if you’ve experienced the busier parts of the Mara. A huge thank you to Sai (check out his Instagram account: @sai_safari_world) and our spotter Purrenkey for showing us their home! Also, a big thanks to Janet and Nando for taking such great care of us. We loved every moment of our stay and will never forget it! If you’re looking for a place that’s less crowded (they even have their own private area inside the Mara exclusive to their vehicles) and want to not only see the Big Five but truly get to know the animals, the names of the lion prides, … this is the place to be!
Simply, the best. The best scouting team, best rooms, best food, best service, best location. A truly unique place.
We stayed at Enkewa camp in the Masai Mara for our family trip in September 2025, and it turned out to be the best experience we could have asked for. This was not just accommodation, it was a true once in a lifetime experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and cared for. The service was exceptional. The staff were attentive, and professional. The drivers / guides and spotters were incredible, so knowledgeable, patient, and passionate. They made every game drive unforgettable. The entire team made everything seamless and memorable, adding special touches that made the trip even more enjoyable for us as a family. The Food was another highlight delicious, varied, and beautifully prepared. As a family, we created memories here that we will cherish forever. This camp is not just a place to stay, but an experience of a lifetime. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something authentic, warm, and truly extraordinary in the Masai Mara.
There are some places you go that you will never forget...This is one! From the moment we met our drivers & arrived at the camp you can tell this place is different. It is literally in the middle of the Masai Mara while also feeling like it's in the middle of nowhere with nothing & no one for miles. Service is incredible, food is impeccable & the accommodation was beautiful. Really informed staff who provide both guidance, friendly service & can answer literally any question you have. They also make you feel really safe. What makes this place different though is the guides & spotters. Firstly having a separate spotter makes a HUGE difference & secondly the guides at Enkewa are some of, if not the, best around. We had Mako & 110 who gave us experiences we will NEVER forget. From waterfall swimming & fishing to cheetah searches & lunches with elephants & giraffes I could not have asked for more. We were off-road always, my kids joked that if Marko saw a no entry sign that was his indication to go lol! We rarely saw other vehicles & felt like we were on our own private conservation all the time. Enkewa use private communications so they don't follow the herd! Honestly if I could give this place 10 stars I would...I would go back in a heart beat & spend weeks there! Between game drives, chess games & excellent food it is literally a heaven tucked away in the reserve!
The Enkewa family welcomed us back this year for the second time (we hope it's not the last). Once again, I'm short on adjectives to praise. The entire team is professional, friendly, and caring; a stay at Enkewa is a true pleasure. I have to make a special mention of our safari guides, Lesaloi and Tipira, who were able to see things at incredible distances that we couldn't even see with binoculars. It's a luxurious experience that I 100% recommend.
It was a unique and wonderful experience. The camp is exceptional, a luxury, beautiful, spacious, and with every detail taken care of. The location is exceptional, with views and tranquility that fully respect the surroundings. But the best part was the people who looked after us. Starting with José, who was kind and focused on ensuring we enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful setting. Then the Maasai were wonderful, polite, and charming. Impeccable service. Our guide, Dominique, was a true luxury. We were able to learn a little more about this wonderful country and the Maasai Mara Reserve. The safari was incredible, seeing all the animals in their habitat and seeing them nonstop every day. I definitely hope to return one day.
Amazing experience, surrounded by animals of all kind but very much less so by people, and I am grateful for that! José, Nando, Dominique and all the staff were absolutely wonderful: family spirit with flawless service. Loved it, and will definitely recommend it! Hongera, na asante sana team Enkewa!
I have loved this hotel and it doesn't have any wrong things about it but the rooms are open to any person to come in since the only doors are zips. Perfect hotel
Our 5 days at Enkewa a few weeks ago were magical, and if Kenya was such a special trip, it was largely thanks to those days! Jose and his entire team (both the camp staff and our guides Ben and Lesaloi) are the best professionals! The warm welcome, the care they take, everything they know and explain about the Masai Mara, plus how spectacular the surroundings are, how beautiful the rooms are (we were lucky enough to have our first room in Little Enkewa!!), and how delicious each meal is... make you never want to leave! I hope we can go back soon 🙂 Thank you all so much! It was an incredible experience and we recommend it 200%! A big hug!
The best camp in the Mara. Without a doubt, the best place to go. It's a reserve within a reserve. They have their own territories for Black Rhino, Leopard, and Lion Pride. The location is exceptional, in a place where every last detail is taken care of. The cuisine, the cleanliness, and the decor are perfect. Furthermore, Jose, Nando, Lur, and the entire camp staff treat you like family, making you as comfortable as possible. Game drives are carried out in open vehicles, which makes the experience more intimate and intimate, especially when animals pass by just a few meters from the car. All 4x4s are driven by an expert driver and guide, as well as a Masai tracker; they know the environment like no other. I recommend spending a minimum of 5 nights to fully enjoy the experience. Here, you can see the Big 5 and the migration like nowhere else.
Amazingly Good. Highly recommend this place in Masai Mara. Lovely food, very nice and caring staff with bulter, room steward and security. They provided us excellent service and wonderful game drives making sure we were well taken care of at all times. Excellent 👌👌
We had the most unforgettable experience at Enkewa Camp — truly the trip of a lifetime. We'd give 10 stars if we could! From the moment we arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the staff stood out. A heartfelt thank you to Julie from the kitchen team for her kindness, to the owner José for personally checking in with us each evening, and especially to our incredible guide Sai and expert spotter Sempere, who brought each game drive to life with their deep knowledge, humor, and sharp eyes. We were lucky to be among the first guests to stay at the newly launched Little Enkewa, a secluded, elevated extension of the main camp with just five luxury tents. The setting was intimate and serene, and the level of service and attention to detail was exceptional — we felt completely cared for at every moment. The game drives were the highlight of our stay. We witnessed a breathtaking live cheetah chase and takedown, spotted elusive black rhinos, watched the great migration of wildebeest and zebra, observed lions feeding and mating, and saw herds of elephants, playful mongoose, giant vultures, bathing hippos, and even an enormous crocodile. Each outing was filled with awe and wonder. The food at camp exceeded all expectations — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, on par with meals you'd find at a five-star restaurant in a major city. Combined with the stunning natural surroundings, it made for a truly magical experience. We can’t recommend Enkewa enough. It’s a special place run by special people, and we’re so grateful for the memories.
We enjoyed our stay at Enkewa Camp and especially appreciated the wonderful staff, security, drivers, spotters, and guides—Dennis, Julie, Dominic, Mako, Johnson, Lesaloi, and Isaac—who were warm, knowledgeable, and made the experience memorable with their hospitality and traditional Maasai dance. However, we were disappointed with how the camp was managed. The founder, Jose, was rigid and more focused on exclusivity than guest experience. He was dismissive of our preferences and was hostile towards our broader trip tour operators. We were pressured into doing only private game drives within Enkewa’s limited area of the park, which limited our wildlife sightings—especially leopards—and excluded us from the wider tour network where guides share real-time updates. Our drivers and spotters were still great and talented; it is just more restricted to the private area we were in. I wish we got to venture to the popular areas with more to see. The cars were open-air vehicles, which we liked and we still saw lots of animals, but it required more patience. The tents were upscale, clean and comfortable, with hot water, WiFi (though slow, cell service in the park was faster) and 24/7 security. Meals were fixed-menu Mediterranean style and small portioned. The food was delicious but we would have liked more African food; we had fish and chips. Enkewa is ideal for travelers seeking a private, curated experience. If you prefer more flexibility and broader wildlife exposure, consider discussing your preferences ahead of time or looking at alternative camps.
Hands down phenomenal. Cleanliness attention to detail and hospitality. My family and I felt safe and cared for. Questioned answered and experiences were amazing.
It's been ten days since we left Enkewa, and I'm still a little bit there. With Kaleb, the guide-driver with whom we felt so safe despite being inches away from wild animals in their natural habitat, sometimes hunting. And who taught us so much about this part of the world he knows so well: the animals, how they live and die, their habits, their enemies, their tracks, their sounds... Also with Pere, the spotter, also Maasai like Kaleb, thanks to whom we saw the Big Five in less than 24 hours in the park. And together with Mila, they made a fantastic team, and it was a pleasure to spend three days with them in the Masai Mara. We miss Daniel telling us what we're going to have for lunch and dinner, and of course, the wonderful food we ate each time. We also miss Janet stopping by for a chat. And those starry nights with moments around the campfire and a refreshing Tusker beer, and Nando showing up. Well, Jose, what a fantastic team you've put together! Your dedication is evident in every detail. Congratulations and thanks again for the wonderful experience you offer. We won't forget our time at Enkewa.
A spectacular camp in every sense. Very comfortable rooms and excellent cuisine with a Spanish touch. The camp service was exceptional, and the people were very warm and friendly. And a special mention to the guides and scouts who ensured we enjoyed a 5-star safari. Congratulations to Jose, Nando, and their entire team.
We had a fantastic time at Enkewa. From the moment we landed and they picked us up everything was simply amazing. We got lucky to watch a cheetah on our way from the airport to the camp which was beautiful but rare! Our guides, Isaac and Nelson, were top notch. Very knowledgeable and explained everything really well. Joked a lot also. Their driving skills were excellent. I personally had a blast drifting through the savanna. Plus they had unbelievable sight and spotted animals from miles away. The camp is an oasis. Common areas are based of a beautifully set up lounge and a restaurant. The tents are to dream for. Difficult to imagine a better set up to spend a few days. Beds were really comfortable and the entire space was always spotless. We had some monkeys running on top of our tent one of the days. Security had to follow everyone at night to avoid any danger in case any animals were around. The food was good. Different menu every day and they help if you’re a picky eater. Staff came to ask us about our day during meals. Everyone was really friendly and shared their daily adventures. Safaris started early around 6:15am. Chilly at that time of the day. We would stop around 9:00am-ish for a great breakfast that we carried in the jeep and then kept going till noon. Back at it again from 4:30-7pm. Some of the best encounters that we had happened early in the am or around 6pm. I totally recommend Enkewa if you’re planning to do a safari. I didn’t plan the trip myself (everything was taken care by my sister and my mum) and had not really great expectations but man was i wrong…and happy to admit that i was! Thank you to Jose, Nando, Dominique, Nicholas and of course to the best two guys out there… Isaac and Nelson. You guys truly made a difference.
A beautiful place where we stayed with our teenagers in February. Excellent service, beautiful surroundings and exquisite food. The safaris were very nice (be careful, it's quite bumpy as there are few tracks, so ladies I advise you to wear a suitable sports bra!). A little chilly in the morning in the tent at 6am but that's quickly forgotten 😊
It was an unforgettable experience; the staff is so friendly and make you feel right at home. I have no words to describe how wonderful it was to see the animals up close.
We had the pleasure of staying with our children and some friends at this wonderful camp in the heart of the Masai Mara. Incredible rooms, fantastic food, and service that was always attentive to our comfort, leaving no detail undone. From the attention to the children to the concern for our safari expectations, which were more than met thanks to the skill of our Masai guides. Janet, an incredible woman, is an integral part of this camp. Oscar's and Nando's attention, along with their explanations, and Jose's constant attention to everything. Without a doubt, the ideal place to stay and feel immersed in nature without lacking any comfort. The organization of the balloon ride, safaris, and small planes—everything was perfect. No waiting, personalized. Thanks to the entire team.
An unforgettable experience at Enkewa Mara Camp: Five stars aren't enough! As a family of four (two adults and two children), we're repeat visitors to the Masai Mara, and Enkewa Mara Camp has become our favorite place in the world! This was our third stay at this exceptional camp, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The setting is simply wonderful, an exclusive location that offers plenty of privacy on safari, making you feel at the heart of the wilderness, yet with all the comforts you could wish for on a top-level safari. The camp itself is luxurious, with impeccable service and attention to detail that makes you feel special. But what truly sets Enkewa Mara Camp apart is the safari experience. Our guides and trackers were incredible, with a knowledge and passion for wildlife that is contagious. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to witness moments that will be forever etched in our memories. On the second day, we witnessed an exciting lioness hunt with a buffalo, a scene of raw, wild nature that took our breath away. And, to top it all off, we were lucky enough to spot a caracal, something extremely rare! This observation was made possible thanks to the incredible skill of our trackers, who amazed us with their ability to spot even the most elusive animals. Outside of the game drives, the camp experience was equally exceptional. The food was simply exquisite, of great variety and quality, in the middle of the savannah. And, last but not least, the Enkewa Mara Camp team is delightful. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication make you feel cared for and pampered at all times. In short, Enkewa Mara Camp offers a safari experience beyond belief. All the positive comments we've read about this place are more than deserved, and we, as a family who has repeated the experience, can confirm this firsthand. We highly recommend Enkewa Mara Camp to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in the Masai Mara! We will definitely be back!
Enkewa Camp in Masai Mara exceeded all expectations! From the warm hospitality to the stunning tented accommodations, every aspect of our stay was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, and the wildlife encounters were truly unforgettable. The food was outstanding – each meal was thoughtfully prepared and delicious, adding an extra layer of luxury to our safari. Waking up to the sounds of nature and being so close to the wildlife was a dream come true. If you're seeking an authentic, luxurious safari experience, Enkewa Camp is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!
We just spent three full days as a family, and the experience was incredible. Everything was perfect. We saw the Big Five every day because the guides do everything to satisfy you. The food is supervised by an exceptional chef. The owners are particularly welcoming. Don't forget to bring warm clothes because it can get cold during safaris. The lodges are particularly spacious. I would definitely return.
Without a doubt, the most transformative trip of my life. I think it has something magical about it: the reconnection with nature, the animals, the camp team with Jose at the helm, the surroundings, the camp itself... Everything, absolutely everything, evokes some kind of positive and restorative emotion with every minute spent in this paradise. I can only give thanks for the experience.
Everything in this camp was outstanding! The tents were very roomy, comfortable, and clean. The food was outstanding. The best part was that the people who worked there were the best; very warm, knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly, felt like a family.
Can not speak highly enough of this camp and the wonderful experience we had here. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They looked after us extremely well and catered to our dietary needs. Our spotter and driver, Caleb, along with Lesoloi, and Wilson made sure we had a fantastic safari experience. Totally worth the money!
I haven't even landed yet and I already want to go back. Everything, absolutely everything, deserves a standing ovation. The treatment, the service, the finger-licking food, the place a paradise within a paradise, the shops a complete luxury, and its people who, along with the surroundings, are what make it all possible. Thank you Jose for making it happen, Mariona, Janet, Nando, Jhonson, Purrenkey, Wilson, Mosquito, and all the wonderful Maasai people we met and who treated us with such kindness. I'll be back! Asanté sana marafiki Signed. Purrenkita
We just returned from a wonderful safari at Enkewa Camp with our 11- and 12-year-old children. An unforgettable experience thanks to the impeccable organization of the camp, the professionalism of the guides, the kindness of the staff, and the extreme comfort and cleanliness of the spaces. We will be back very soon; it was a wonderful adventure. Highly recommended!
Truly an amazing experience! The guides were amazing, the chef created delicious meals, and the staff could not have been more attentive. I fully support the camp's involvement and support of the local community, especially the school system.
We just returned from Enkewa Camp and it truly a trip of a lifetime. My Son and his now Wife got married on top of Sundowners mountain and it was the most beautiful magical experience we could have ever been a part of. Everything was perfect and the staff and Jose went above and beyond to make sure. The staff were all very friendly, the food was incredible and the camp was beautiful and relaxing. We will definitely be planning a trip back again in the future!
Best safari camp for sure! The camp is beautiful and the only thing better is the staff! From the minute they picked us up at the airport until they took us back 4 days later anything we wanted they could accommodate. I wish we had stayed a week! We had a group of 22 ranging in age from 3 to 89 and everyone had a ball. Some went out at sunrise and others went out later. One day we had a picnic breakfast out on safari and another day we enjoyed drinks and snacks as a sundowner. The food was fabulous and it was incredible how they could find whatever animal we were looking for including the wildebeest great migration. The rooms were so clean and so spacious - the WiFi is better than home. They even did our laundry! Be sure you have the lasagne and the chocolate cake! You will regret choosing any other safari camp!

Gracias a todos!!!Posted on Andrew458987Verified The best...the actual best! Every camp says their location is the best, they say their guides are the best, their food and accommodation is the best, their value for money is unbeatable. But how many can actually meet these claims? I have been a guide in Africa for 15 years, a private guide for 3 and have run my own company leading safaris throughout Africa for another 3. Coming to an unknown camp in East Africa used to give me great anxiety. I was concerned about the level of guiding most importantly, especially in East Africa, and the acclaimed location of the camp being as superior as they say. Often, unfortunately, and due to a lack of adequate training I assume, I was disappointed to say the least. My standards are high yes, I expected the same love and care I put into my safaris from the operators on the ground, maybe wishful thinking, but then I came across Enkewa. When I come across places like this they have a profound effect on my life, even as a seasoned safari guide myself. They remind me of the power a well run team in a well located and beautifully built camp, guided by a 'true' guide can have on your life. It is life changing, there is nothing else to it. But Enkewa is not just this. Where so many camps these days are rushing into the industry, like the 'fast food' of the safari world, not caring for the little details that touch visitor deeply, make them shed a tear of joy at the memory of their stay in years to come, Enkewa is one of the few that now lead the charge when it comes to creating something remarkable. A deep reverence for every part of your stay from the food, the tents and the organic friendliness of the staff can be expected. And then there is the guiding itself... We had the privilege of being on the jeep with Dom and Semberre(the spotter). Dom(Dominic) is a rare breed these days. A quite unbelievable wealth of knowledge. A genuine and uncompromising love and respect for the wild world and the wild things. Humility in the face of mother natures brilliance. Sprinkle some humour and playfulness upon their artful guiding and you have something that is worth any amount of USD spent on a safari - the best, the actual best. They also happened to spot a leopard and buffalo being chased by lions, amongst the usual impressive finds, that I still ponder on as it seemed not possible to me! I think I have found the very best of what Kenya has to offer!Posted on Debashri SVerified A hidden gem in a remote corner of Maasai Mara We wanted to try a unique camp in Maasai Mara and found Enkewa during our search. This is why we think Enkewa is unique: Camp Location - It is in a remote area of Maasai Mara, with very different vegetation and landscape than the rest of the reserve. The area is stunningly beautiful with lush vegetation, rocky outcrops in some places and even palm trees. The undulating hills add to the magic. The best part, during our safaris in the area we barely saw another car. That is unusual, especially in the middle of migration season. What a joy! Tent Quality - When we were guided to our tent, we literally couldn't stop saying "Wow!" The tents are gorgeous and beautifully designed. They're divided into a living area, a bedroom, a bathroom area and even a walk-in closet. Oh! And let me not forget the wrap around deck and the gurgling stream by our side. I have never seen a tent design so well thought of, even at way more expensive and well-known luxury camps. The tents all open to the bush and have gorgeous views. The furniture and room decor are top-notch. Camp Amenities - Where should I start? Let's begin with the most unusual. Since we tend to work during our vacations sometimes, we had enquired about Wi-Fi. They said it was fast, but fast in Maasai Mara isn't the speed you get in the city. We were blown away by the lightning fast Wi-Fi speed at Enkewa Camp. It was such a pleasant surprise. Let me also mention the well thought-out international electrical outlets. The bathroom has everything you need and more, including hot water. The camp has a massage therapist (Karen, if I am not messing up her name). She's truly one of the best and is a very sweet person. Food - Enkewa welcomed us with a Spanish pizza kind of dish. It was amazing. Everything that followed was delicious too. They were kind enough to make us Dawa (lemon, honey, ginger drink) when we were cold or drenched in the rain. And for those coffee afficionados, they have very good coffee! Safari Quality - We loved our spotters and guide. They were so caring! They were genuinely interested in giving us the best safari experience and put their all in. We saw a lion catch a wildebeest right by our vehicle. And then the wildebeest broke free. What an experience! We saw a Cheetah (Nashipai) and her 4 cubs hunt - twice! We saw thousands and thousands of wildebeest and zebras, we saw lion prides, elephant herds and towers of giraffes. Camp Hospitality - No matter how good the other aspects are, everything falls apart if the camp hospitality doesn't hit the right notes. Enkewa never failed. We were met by the amazing Mariona who took care of us throughout our stay. She was so warm and so efficient! We also met the camp owner, Jose, during our stay there and let him know how much we like the camp. The other camp staff was really nice too. They got us umbrellas when we needed them, any request was always taken care of. We felt safe and we felt valued as guests. My barometer for a good camp is always my husband. He has a stressful job and if any place can make him relax, it becomes one of my happy places. Enkewa was it. My husband has been wanting to go back since the day we left. So hopefully we will be back soon. I highly recommend this camp because I want you to have the experience we had. Thank you for reading!Posted on jbaines46Verified Magical experience Wonderful tented camp in the Masai Mara, luxurious tents and attentive staff made our stay special. So peaceful and quiet with such attention to detail, hot water bottles placed in your bed every night ! What made the trip though was the fantastic game drives with our guide Johnson and spotter Steven. Johnson’s knowledge and experience meant we saw everything we could imagine from a pride of lions playing on the rocks at sunset, a leopard sitting in the tree, cheetahs feasting on a newly Caithness Impala and so much more. The bush breakfasts were superb and I will never forget the sheer magic of eating breakfast overlooking a bloat of hippos in the Mara RiverPosted on Jose DVerified Great experience!! The camp is in a beautiful setting, next to a river. Wildlife just feet away (Hippos, crocodiles, warthogs). Beds are very confortable, the shower a little rustic. Food was much better than expected nad the host (Bian) was very accommodating. Posted on Elizabeth RVerified Theo is a special place in the Maasai Mara. This is a special place. We had an amazing stay at Enkewa. The staff and guides were wonderful. The food was beautifully prepared and fresh. Everyone from our evening escort to/from our tent, to our servers to our guides made us feel welcome and cared for.Posted on pbchmelikVerified Marvelous Experience at Enkewa Camp Enkewa Camp is truly over-the-top wonderful. It was recommended by friends who live in Nairobi. It lived up to their praise. All phases of our experience there were exceptional. The family and friends with whom we were traveling would concur - what a great experience. The "tents" were totally lovely and the service was clearly based on a how-can-we-make-this-a-great-trip philosophy. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Camp setting was unique in being in a rather secluded section of Maasai Mara. We often saw animals alone - no other vehicles in sight! The food was plentiful, varied, and tasty. (The breakfast sites out in the field were so well chosen - beautiful.) The game-viewing vehicles were in tip-top shape and the seats were tiered so everyone had clear viewing opportunities. Our guides and spotters were superb - so knowledgeable! The animals that we saw were amazing including prides of lions and way cool groups of elephant, rhinos, giraffe, Cape buffalo and wildebeest, to say nothing of all the birdlife. We also saw a beautiful leopard move from high up in a tree to the ground. Every time out there was another wildlife highlight, and the general landscapes were a highlight in their own right. I know I am gushing and using all kinds of superlatives, but, gees, Enkewa Camp was marvelous.Posted on NandobarVerified Qué grande poder estar en Enkewa!
